Welcome to the website of Derek Elliott,
a singer-songwriter whose albums, represent decades of work and are packed with a whole life’s worth of experiences: good and bad, joyful and melancholy.
2019 sees two new songs from Derek Elliott, called Monkey and Masks that analyse political values and personal personas. Take a listen and hopefully a new album will be with us shortly.
2017 sees the latest album release from Derek Elliott entitled “Days of Noah” which shifts in musical direction towards a reflective “end of times” Christian Album. Have a listen to the studio samples below and see which song hits you hardest!
Life Just Comes and Goes
Of course, no musician stands alone. Life Just Comes and Goes would never have got this far without producer Jez Coad, with pre recording production by Colin Purdey, mastering guru Tim Young, keyboarder Dave Steel, and Jill’s amazing trills in Spanish Girls. They are a fantastic team who were all absolute joys to work with, to say nothing of their ability to put up with Derek. From the cheeky rhythms of Spanish Girls to the powerfully atmospheric Mystery, there’s something here for everyone.
Please click on the songs above to preview the album. Enjoy. If you have comments, please use the contact page to let Derek know.
The album is also available to download from cdbaby and i-Tunes.
